The name FLODD manifests from the Dutch creators, Bertjan Diphoorn, creative vision of floating dutch design. FLODDs are uniquely, handcrafted floating homes, in development, on the Rummelsburger Bucht, in Berlin.
The main objectives for the identity were to visually inject the clients quirky dutch personality, communicate FLODDs bold geometric architectural forms, highlight the use of raw materials and nature in the surrounding area while conveying the movement of water.
This was communicated through the use of loud crazy colour combinations and clean ‘oversized’ typography that would not be normally or traditionally used within the utilised platforms and applications.
For the logo we incorporated the ITC Franklin Gothic and used Dutch see maps as a base inspiration to communicate the idea movement.

In addition to the corporate identity we also designed and had produced cushions as part of the FLODD interior.
