About

I am Adli Klein of Such Agreeable Friends. A self employed senior communication/graphic designer, with over 10 years of industry experience, specialising in the fields of art direction, creative research and strategy, brand conceptualisation and management, visual campaign development, corporate identity, websites, signage  and wayfinding.

The name, Such Agreeable Friends, serves as an analogy for my working philosophy. This being, to surround myself and work with a network of friends, from varied creative disciplines, that I respect, aspire to and can learn from. In addition to, building valued working relationships and earning the trust of the people I work for and provide my services to. I see this as the most natural way to grow and develop as a human, within the creative profession.

Approach

Within my design process I pride myself in taking a lot of care in articulating what I am creating and trying to communicate. While being methodical in my approach, I always keep myself open to happy accidents, or what I like to call “creative little coincidences” that may occur along the way. Along with a constant consideration for the user and audience this formula, for me, always results in something thoughtful and honest.

Background

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia by migrant parents of Kosovar and Montenegrin descent.

In 2005, I graduated from the University of Swinburne School of Design with a Postgraduate Degree (Honours) in Communication Design.

After graduating, I worked briefly in Melbourne and attained my fundamental experience, as a designer, working at Design by Pidgeon. A design studio specialising in branding and identity.

In mid 2006, I flew half way around the world, eventually landing on Hort’s, a highly successful and internationally respected Berlin based design studio, door step. It was during my time at Hort that I blossomed and had the opportunity to work with a group of carefully selected creative geniuses. My hard work and drive also contributed to Hort’s successes and career achievements for many years.

Since my Hort departure, I have spent a lot of my creative time freelancing on a regular basis at Adidas within the Brand Design Department.
